Jay-Z offers a hand on X Factor

Jay-Z has made an offer Simon Cowell surely can't refuse - to be a judge on The X Factor.
The New York rapper revealed he fancies a stint on the panel alongside Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh.

"Simon, if you need any help for the next series, let me know, man, and I'm your judge - there is a lot of untapped hip hop talent in the UK and if they want my help finding some for the final 12, I am sure I could assist," he told The Sun.

But Simon would have to find the right date, as Jay-Z prefers to jet over for an Arsenal game at the same time.

"Just try and make it the same weekend Arsenal are playing in London. That would really help me out," he added.

The music mogul - whose wife Beyonce has duetted with X Factor winner Alexandra Burke - also offered to give Girls Aloud star Cheryl a boost in the US.

"There is nobody in the US like her right now, and I would be very interested in helping her break the US market this year - I think Cheryl has that talent," he said.

"Bey has seen her perform and she told me how impressed she was. I checked her out and I was impressed as well."
